My favourite thing about learning in GRILL 2.0

My favourite thing about learning in Grill 2.0 is that we have lots of learning spaces like the hub. The hub is the main area, then there is a little side room called the hall of fame. There are two other rooms called the hangout and the hide out.

The hub is the main room in the class. When we go down to sit on the mat we go sit in the hub. Most workshops that are taken are in the hub. The hub was the first area of the classroom to be named. We had a few names for it but we decided.

The hall of fame is a side room off the hub. The hall of fame is the smallest room and is the is the room that three of the imacs are kept in. We have 5 imacs two are in the hub.

The hangout is a room off the hub. It is a room for people to have meetings and to work together. It's my favourite place to work.

The hideout is a silent room. You go there when you need to get your learning done because your behind track or you're getting distracted. I don't work in there because I am never quiet and I like to work with my friends ( most of the time. )

My favourite super rugby team in 2016

The Highlanders are my favourite team in the super rugby because I was born in Dunedin. I started liking the Highlanders at the end of two thousand and fifteen. My Poppa is a Highlanders supporter he was the reason I changed to liking the Highlanders. I remember that in two thousand and fifteen the Highlanders were in the final. And that my neighbour's came over to watch the final and they were supporting the Highlanders and I was supporting the Hurricanes. And guess what the amazing Highlanders won the final.

Last year close to the end of the year I said at whats on top that I am supporting the Highlanders now which was after the final had been played. When they won.

One month before my birthday I asked my mum can you please get me a Highlanders jersey for my birthday because I don't have one. But she said I thought you wanted to get the adidas response running shoes. About half a week after I said to my mum can I get a Highlanders jersey she took me to rebel sport to try one on and I felt like a true Highlanders supporter wearing it. So my mum took a picture of me wearing it and sent it to my aunty and my nana. When it came to my birthday I opened my presents and I got a Highlanders jersey I was out of the roof and over the moon I was so happy.

And the adidas response running shoes I got the two weeks early before my birthday. Because I soaked my other two pairs of shoes at the weet-bix triathlon. Also because I saw the email that said they had been shipped along with some of my dads new running socks ( my dad loves his running socks ). And I am always watching the Highlanders games wearing my Highlanders t-shirt. I'll always be a Highlanders supporter until I die.

Traditional teaching style and CSI

On the tenth of May two thousand and sixteen our teachers surprised us with traditional teaching style.
We weren't a load in the classroom until ten to nine.
We had to do so many weird and odd things ex: Marching.

After morning tea we went inside and the teachers started laughing and then started clapping and then we started clapping but I don't know why. Then I realized that it was because of traditional teaching style. Then we saw TTS on the whiteboard. But know one knew what TTS meant. Then the teachers
told us what it meant.

After that we did a CSI a CSI stands for colour symbol and image.
So a CSI is a thinking ration. So the colour represents the colour you think suits what you were doing best. And thats the same thing for the symbol and image.

Sports rotation

Every Tuesday afternoon for one and a half hours we have sports rotation. We do two rotations and do each one for forty five minutes.
My favourite sport is "Drum roll" BADMINTON. Thats only for sports rotation.

Badminton is my favourite sport in sports rotation out of soccer, touch rugby, hockey, golf, circuits, basketball and tennis. Badminton is my favourite sport because I don't usually get the opportunity to play badminton that often. And also because it keeps you fit, running around the court hitting the shuttlecock, and your arms will also get strong hitting the shuttlecock around everywhere.

This year the badminton coaches are all from our class so we know them all very well. Their names are Tyler B, Anneka, Joonoh and Yutong. Last year lots of the time. The coach was someone from badminton Manawatu. Mr Robertson organises all of the sport rotations for us.

Badminton is quite an easy sport to play if you are accurate with were you try to make the shuttlecock come off on your racket. We have learnt so many different shots like back hand serve, four hand serve and back hand . Badminton is also played at the Commonwealth games and the Olympics. In badminton you can play doubles and singles my favourite is singles because then every time the shuttlecock is hit over the net it is for you to hit back to them. But in doubles there is some time confusion on who's going to hit it. Which happens to me all the time when I play doubles.

Sleepover at my friends house

On Wednesday 20th of April at four pm I went to my friend Liam's for a sleepover. When I got there we played cricket for at least one and a half hours.  Before we knew it Liam's dad got home and we played cricket for half an hour yet again. But then it got too dark to play cricket so we went inside and watched Mary Poppins with the girls and Liam's younger brother ( I don't like watching Mary Poppins). We didn't end up having dinner until about eight thirty. We continued watching Mary Poppins with dinner. After dinner we played even more cricket.

After dinner we had ice cream for desert. We went up and got dressed into our pjs and jumped into bed. Liam's mum gave us about twenty minutes to talk or read. Conor, Liam's little brother, his clock was the right time and my watch was five minutes late. So what we did was we went by Conor's clock when we were told to go to bed. Since my clock was 5 minutes late we went by my clock when we were getting up to go down stairs.

At seven o'clock Liam's mum said that we could go down stairs. Ella, Liam's twin sister and Lily my little sister were down stairs before us boys. I couldn't wait any longer so while Liam and Conor were in bed I went down stairs. When Liam and Conor came down stairs we went back up stairs to ask if we could go on the xbox 360 connect. Which Liam and Conor got for christmas to share. At eight o'clock we had to get off the xbox. Liam's mum got up at ten past eight and started to make us breakfast at quarter past eight. We had pan cakes for breakfast and we put lemon juice and white sugar in them and wrapped them up. It tasted delicious. I had never had lemon juice and white sugar before and I didn't think it was going to taste very nice. And I stayed the rest of the day to play with while my mum was at work.
